Colorado sunrises and sunsets

Back in 2020, I created a post to share some of my favorite sunrise and sunset photos. While all the photos in that post are still among the best sunrises and sunsets I’ve captured on camera, three years have passed since then and I’ve accumulated numerous additional wonderful sunrise and sunset photos. And so, given that 2023 has come to an end and the dawn of 2024 is upon us, I decided now would be a good time to share some of my favorite sunrise and sunset photos from the last three years.

    1. In the summer we tend to get afternoon thunderstorms that are sometimes still dissipating in the evening so those remaining clouds catch the light. The rest of the year, I’m not sure what the explanation is, but now I’m curious.

  1. These are so beautiful, Diana, especially the snowy sunrise. We often think of winter as being dull and grey, and there are certainly times when that is the case, but ice and snow can do amazing things with the coloured light at sunrise and sunset. Thanks for sharing, and have a good day. Aiva xx

  2. They are all beautiful photos but, for me at least, there is a clear favourite and that is the one entitled, Maroon Bells sunrise | September 2021. You should have it enlarged, framed and place in a prominate place in your home.
