For the better part of the last two years, I’ve been seeing these ‘Weekly Challenge’ posts and other things of the sort but I’ve never actually participated in them. At first, I think I was just too focused on getting my blog up and running and making sure I had time to write the posts. Then, I think I was just in the habit of not participating so I never did.
But when I logged onto WordPress a couple days ago, this week’s challenge was at the top of my feed: Favorite Place. And it struck me. Because my favorite place is something that I never gave a lot of thought to until recently. I mean, I knew there were a lot of places I’ve been that I really enjoyed. But I’d never bothered to actually make lists or figure out my absolute favorites until I started this blog.
As I’m currently sitting at home following my 5th snow day of the semester (Seriously, why did I write a syllabus? We’re so far behind that we’ll never catch up), this seems like an appropriate time to take the leap and join in on a weekly challenge.
So… here goes.
For a long time, I think I just kind of assumed that my favorite place in the world was Yellowstone National Park. After all, it’s the place I’ve visited more than any other. And Yellowstone is cool. I do love it there.
But I’ve realized that there just might be one place I love even more: Glacier National Park.
Am I biased towards my home state? Probably. But I can’t help the fact that I grew up in an amazing place with some incredible scenery.
Now, if I could just manage to narrow it down to one photo that best depicts all that Glacier has to offer…
Great choice!

Glacier looks gorgeous! I am dying to go there. My friend lives nearby and I’m hoping I can visit her soon!
